    Main House

    The main house, the cumersa, meaning gable-roofed, is the heart of Masseria Pistola. This is where the main family lived and was most likely built around 1750. The architects have meticulously maintained the original structure and features to create a gorgeous main house. It is home to the largest indoor common areas at the masseria and four magnificent ensuites.

    Masseria Petrarolo’s raised vantage point affords sweeping views of protected ancient olive groves, and the captivating Adriatic Sea.

    The house is surrounded with walled gardens which overflow with ripe fruits during the summer months.

    A romantic ground floor king size suite with double door access to the Gargano suite and a private entrance to the Hammam.

    Gargano Bathroom

    A sunken bath big enough for 4 kids or two adults – an outdoor shower. Plus a stunning dressing area with fireplace – make this a beautiful bathroom.

    Agrumeto Bathroom

    An iron bath on the balcony overlooking the tops of the walled citrus grove. With a walk-in shower, and a large ottoman for dressing.

    The grand Trajan Dining Room seats 20 for dinner and is a spectacular setting for sumptuous dining, served from the professional kitchen.

    The first level Terrace outside the original entrance to the Masseria can seat 10-12 with raised views  of the olive groves, the vineyard and the sea beyond. Served from the upper kitchen.

    Naturally curving like a small perfect bay, with a beach and three different depth levels. The main pool is ideal for youngsters as well as adults to cool off, and play.

    The Airstream

    Restored over 5 years by a former boat builder in Devon and brought to Puglia by the owner – the Airstream provides an exciting and unique annex for guests, which can be taken as an extra.

    The Airstream provides a cosy hideaway with all the amenities you could need. Master double bedroom with en suite wet room shower and toilet, also comes equipped with a projector and sound system to enjoy a movie curled up under the duvet.

    There is air conditioning for the summer and heating for the winter. The living room has a large dining table, which can be converted into another double bed. There is a galley kitchen with a double gas hob, grill and oven. Plus an installed Bose sound system to enjoy your favourite music under the stars.

    En suite walk in wet room shower and toilet, with mirror and wash basin – provides luxurious bijou wash amenities.

    The Airstream can be used as a base for a picnic or al fresco dinner, a romantic hideaway to steal away to for a secluded night, or a unique place for an overnight guest to stay if the main house is full.

    Tennis Court

    Petrarolo’s astro-turf tennis court is set 200m from the main house beyond the fruit tree grove, and the english lavender field. The court enjoys a stunning setting alongside the rose garden, with stunning views of the sea.

    A viewing pagoda makes for a perfect shaded place for the family to watch a game or guests tournament. A drinks fridge and cushioned seats provide extra comforts.

    Hammam

    The house’s red walled, Turkish hammam is set inside an ancient cellar room on the lower ground floor of the main house. With heated flooring and large stone slab for lying with steam provided by double steamers on a timer.
